David Sentendrey
Reporter. Investigator. Multimedia Journalist.

Growing up, I was the kid with a hand in everything.
I played every sport, performed in musical bands, wrote poetry — and never stuck to one style or friend group. At times, I worried being “all over the place” was a weakness, but it turned out to be the foundation for an exciting career: one where we become quick experts on many topics.

I started as a print journalist in Charlotte, NC, never considering broadcast. That changed in Fall 2012, when a local news director took a chance on me. “Television is easy,” he said. “I’ll teach you.” It wasn’t easy — but it became part of who I am. My foundation in print gave me a perspective few broadcast journalists have.

Nearly a decade later, I’ve told stories that sparked legislative change, class-action lawsuits, criminal charges, and more. I’ve been with FOX Television since 2013, now reporting for KDFW — the No. 1 station in Dallas. Along the way, I’ve earned multiple Emmy and RTDNAC awards, including top MMJ across North and South Carolina while at WJZY.

I’m a storyteller who understands the power of video — and how to write to it.
Journalism is information at its core, but the way we deliver it matters just as much. As a musician, I learned rhythm and cadence, skills that now shape the way I build news packages and live shots. It's news — but it’s also an art form.

It’s a privilege to share my work.
